The ARTES roof prism binocular in 8.5 x 42 with ED lenses is currently the highest quality and most optically brilliant binocular from Vixen. This binocular impresses with its innovative design, practical handgrip and phase correction. Both glasses have a SuperMulticoating coating (with lotus effect), which achieves a particularly high light transmission thanks to its innovative structure. This is a key benefit in twilight.
Further advantages are: large eye relief, twist-out eyecupsas well as newly styled, pull-out and lockable diopter adjustment. The ARTES binocular is of course waterproof and nitrogen-filled.
The ARTES J succeeds in all the excellent features provided for the Vixen's highest ARTES binoculars. The ease of use and holding has been pursued thoroughly on the ARTES J to merge excellent optical performance with a user-friendly design. An accurate optical alignment has been made in every single optical unit by craftsmanship to achieve a high level of performance in the field of view.
ED Objective lens
With the use of extra-low dispersion glass in the objective lens elements, the ARTES J binoculars deliver outstandingly sharp images free of chromatic aberration.
Flat multi-coatings
The flat multi-coatings on the surfaces of the lenses achieve flat and high light transmission throughout the wavelengths of visible rays of light. It contributes to the clear and high contrast of images excellently.
High reflectivity coatings
The advanced dielectric coatings are applied to achieve superbly high reflectivity on the prisms.
Phase coated prisms
The phase coatings correct the phase shift of the light waves that occur on the edge of roof prisms by reflection. It can achieve image quality of higher contrast and levels and result in extremely bright and sharp images with maximum contrast.
Oil-repellent coatings
It protects the outer lens surfaces from dirt. The oil-repellent coatings allow for cleaning the lenses easily when the surfaces of the lensesare stained with fingerprints or dust particles.
Open hinge design for firm grippingThe bridge that joins the two optical barrels of the binocular body is an open hinge type to enhance holding stability by fingers. Its construction fits hands nicely regardless of the person using it and is effective in stopping from shaking.
